We met Chandni earlier in February this year, at Siddharth & Satvika’s engagement in Samode and wedding in Chandigarh. And we were pleasantly surprised to meet her again at Karan & Sana’s roka in May. This is where we were also introduced to Jivjeet – her super energetic dancing partner, and like she put it, her man. The two of them make for a great couple and photographing them together has been our pleasure.
The roka started when Jivjeet came in with his parents, close family and his closest friends – Karan & Sana among them. Rajni & Rajinder – Chandni’s parents – looked happy and proud to welcome the newest addition to their family. The Bhaiji read out a small ardaas (prayer) and blessed the couple, after which they exchanged rings, introduced each other to their relatives, and after a very honest and witty speech by Karan, they cut the cake and proceeded for their first dance together.
What really livened up the evening was the Dholis, who had especially come for Chandni & Jivjeet – and their entire school gang was there with them, celebrating their happiness.
It was a very very special shoot for Ramit and me because it marked two years of us being engaged (in constant warfare). And what better way to celebrate being in love than getting to photograph two awesome people so in love!
